Aztecs Tribe

A father-daughter camping tribe in the Bear Nation of YMCA Adventure Guides, North County San Diego.

We camp about eight times a year: beach nights, the desert, the mountains. The dads cook, the girls run feral in the best way, and everyone sleeps well. Around ninety families, run entirely by volunteer dads.

What we do

• Campouts through the season, from Del Mar Beach to Joshua Tree
• Service mornings, the pinewood derby, and the Sweetheart Ball
• Crews for cooking, the trailer, spirit and the campfire
